As Director of Communication, Marci works to change how people understand women’s incarceration and the harm caused by the criminal legal system. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, her advocacy centers the experiences of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and other marginalized populations, using education, storytelling, and digital organizing to push for meaningful change.
She is the co-host of On the Rec Yard: Women’s Prison Podcast, and a content creator with nearly 300,000 followers on TikTok, where she uses direct, accessible storytelling to reach broad audiences and move people toward action. Her work is informed by her experience surviving ten years in a Texas prison and remains grounded in accountability to the communities most impacted.
Marci also serves on the board of The Second Chancer Foundation.
