Youth Incarceration

We continue working to support efforts to improve conditions in Texas youth prisons and county juvenile detention centers. Research and lived experience point to ongoing challenges and opportunities for improvement. Experts also note that factors like race, gender identity, and economic status can shape how young people experience these systems.
